Repairing Sprinkler Systems

1

A well-designed and programmed sprinkler system is the ideal way to keep your lawn watered and green, especially useful for large lawns, and you get more benefits from it, such as – the right amount of water will transport to your whole yard without moving the sprinkler; fixing it can be done by yourself, so you can cut cost, since pipes are made of plastic and the electrical lines are low voltage.

A Riverside Sprinkler System Repairs consists of a controller device, electrical wiring, control valves, control valve box, and sprinkler head and the system works with the controller device signalling the start of the operation through an electrical wiring that is attached to the control valves in the control valve box which is placed outside the house near the lawn and, once the control valves open, water is sent through the underground water line, causing the sprinkler heads to pop up and spray.

The reason why a sprinkler head is broken is because it is set too high so that it can be run over by vehicles or a lawn mower and the way to fix it is by replacing it with a new one which should be of the same type head.  When you see that plastic casing of the sprinkler head is cracked or broken and that the head won’t pop up and water gushes out wildly or not at all, this is a sign that the sprinkler head is broken.  The way to fix a broken sprinkler head is first to dig around the sprinkler head to expose the riser, unscrew the broken sprinkler head, and install the new head tightly with your hands.

When the sprinkler head is not working, the best way to fix it is to clean the sprinkler head and reset by installing back the same head or a new one.  Dirt can enter inside the sprinkler head, causing the head to clog up and when it’s clogged up, there will likely be less water or no water at all that will come out from the sprinkler head; therefore, to clean the head, dig it out and detach from the riser. As soon as the sprinkler is detached, bring it over a canister to disassemble its part, such that the disassembling procedures goes in this manner – remove the plastic screen basket, which is the head filter and found at the base of the head, and rinse the basket filter in a bucket of clean water, washing the debris; then clean the rest of the sprinkler head by rinsing it with water. Finally, replace the assembled sprinkler head on the riser and, if still no water goes out, it’s time to replace the sprinkler head with a new one. Know more about Riverside Sprinkler Repairs.
